Practice Math Websites:
Khan Academy – https://www.khanacademy.org
This is a great website for students and parents if you forgot how to do something. There are videos and quizzes (for some) on most standards. This site is good for more than just math too!
BUZZ Math – www.buzzmath.com
PARENTS: This is one of my favorite websites for students to work at but costs $40 for a year subscription. It is helpful, interactive and topics for 6 – 8th grade math only. It is also available as an app.
IXL – www.ixl.com
This website is for Math and Language Arts K-12 grades. You can use this site daily to practice math problems. It is mostly simple, straight forward problems (not a lot of word problems). It will time you out which means for free you can only do so much each day or you have to pay for more access. Really good practice site for a lot of different types of math problems.
Math is Fun – www.mathisfun.com
This website is organized by big topics (Algebra, Geometry, Puzzles…). Within each topic you can then pick a more specific topic to study. Each lesson will walk you through a tutoring lesson – VIDEOS INCLUDED! At the bottom of each page you will find 10 questions for you to answer. It will grade it on the spot and then help you if you miss it.
Math Goodies -- www.mathgoodies.com
This website is full of tutorials, worksheets, games, and puzzles for all sorts of topics. This website can be helpful to both parents and students when looking for homework help & practice.
Soft Schools – www.softschools.com
This website has some games, quizzes, and will also generate a worksheet for you to do. This can be helpful in more than just math class because this website has language arts, science, & social studies too.
Math Play – www.math-play.com
This is a great website for math games. If you are studying for a test or just working on skills, this is a fun way to practice math. Most of the games are different based on the topic. On the left you will find your grade level and then you can pick the topic. Start Playing!
AAAMath – www.aaamath.com
This is a full website of interactive math lessons. There is no cost and you get unlimited practice on each topic. The site is for K-8th and also has some parts in SPANISH. Each topic has a learn, practice, play, and explore section.
The topics were from before Common Core so sometimes you have to go to a different grade level to find the topic you need to practice but it does a great job with a lesson and practice section for each topic. In the PLAY section, there is count down (how many correct in 60 sec), Give me time (play longer for getting more right) or 20 questions (times you on how fast you can do 20 questions)
Math Drills – www.math-drills.com
If you have a printer at home this is a great website to practice/drill in certain skills. This website will create a worksheet for you to do on a certain topic and then also provide the answer key. The worksheets are different every time you visit the site.
Cool Math – www.coolmath.com
This website has great lessons and games to practice math but the topics are a little hard to find. This is a great website to practice math in general, not to practice a certain topic. It does explain topics if you aren't sure how to do something. They do have a section for Algebra & Pre-Calculus though you might want to check out.
More Challenging stuff – www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities
This website is mostly for high school students but does have some fraction and geometry content.
You might want to first sort by audience (6-8) to see the 127 activities for middle school math.
Not a site to visit all the time but sometimes interesting to learn something new.
